Record Checks

Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check:

All Record Checks must be current within the last six months

Please note: CPMB does not accept Criminal Record Checks with Vulnerable Sector search from third party companies. They must be obtained from your local police service.

Record checks, sometimes referred to as background checks, are required upon initial application with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba (CPMB).  They are also required, by legislation, to be submitted once every 5 years after initial registration. Submitted record checks with positive findings may result in further information being required by the CPMB, and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  Registrants must report any changes that affect the results of their record checks to the College immediately.

In Winnipeg: Residents residing in Winnipeg must apply to the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) for their Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector search.  The online application can now be accessed by everyone and in person applications should only be made if you are having difficulty with the online application.

Rural Manitoba: Please go to your local police detachment for the Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search. If you require a letter to obtain the search, please contact the college at info@collegeparamb.ca.

Out of Province: Please check with your local police. Please remember to specifically request inclusion of the Vulnerable Sector search. If you require a letter to obtain the search, please contact the college at info@collegeparamb.ca.
