Record Checks

Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check:

All Record Checks must be current within the last six months

If you live in Winnipeg, you must make an in-person application for the criminal record check including vulnerable sector. Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) accepts Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check applications at Police Headquarters, located at 245 Smith Street (main entrance off Graham Ave) Monday to Friday 8 am to 3:30 pm. They are closed on holidays. Information can be found on the WPS website at https://www.winnipeg.ca/police/pr/pic.stm. Your results will be mailed to you via Canada Post. Once you receive your document, please upload it to your application or portal. Please Note: The College of Paramedics IS NOT registered with the WPS online system. The online application will not work.

If you live in rural Manitoba, please go to your local RCMP detachment for the Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Processes vary from detachment to detachment, so you will have to ask at your detachment. Once you receive your completed criminal record check with vulnerable sector, you will be required to upload it to your application.

If you live out of province, you will have to check with your local authorities. Please remember to ask specifically for inclusion of the Vulnerable Sector Check with the Criminal Record Check. If you require a letter to obtain the Vulnerable Sector check please contact the college.

  • Adult Abuse Registry Check: If the province where you reside has this check, please get it from that province. If not, then please get the Adult Abuse Registry check from Manitoba.
  • Child Abuse Registry Check: If the province where you reside has this check, please get it from that province. If not, then please get the Child Abuse Registry check from Manitoba.
  • The College of Paramedics of Manitoba will not accept record checks from third parties.
