Introduction to Indigenous Inclusion and Cultural Safety

Welcome to the Introduction to Indigenous Inclusion and Cultural Safety module, developed by Braided Circle for the Manitoba Alliance of Health Regulatory Colleges. No matter where you are on your learning journey, we invite you to join us with an open heart and open mind.

The content is divided into five key lessons:

• Introduction to the Indigenous History of Canada,
• Introduction to the Indigenous History of Manitoba,
• Truth and Reconciliation and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples,
• Introduction to Cultural Safety, and
• Indigenous Health.

Each lesson includes a video, followed by additional information and archival photos. The module should take about an hour and twenty minutes to complete and concludes with a 13-question “Test Your Learning” quiz to help solidify your learning.
