Members of the Public in Manitoba are vital to the College meeting its mandate to protect the public interest. The Appointments Committee is pleased to inform the public of a volunteer opportunity that is now available.
The College of Paramedics of Manitoba is looking for public members to serve on the Public Advisory Committee (PAC). In accordance with definitions in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) public members cannot have ever been a licensed/registered Paramedic; cannot have been a registered member of another health profession in the last five years AND a person who has not a member of and has not been a member of an association, union, or interest group that represents the profession in the last two years.
PAC is a standing committee reporting to Council. They will serve as a resource to Council and College staff on matters involving the public interest and to assist the College in its public engagement strategy. (Terms of Reference for this Committee are found here).
