I am writing today to announce that Trish Bergal has advised the Council of the College of Paramedics Manitoba of her intention to not renew her employment contract with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba. After 41 years in the health care sector, Trish is at a point in her career where she is ready to begin to transition into retirement. Trish will remain in the role until the new Executive Director/Registrar is recruited, with the transition in roles to occur over October/November of 2023.
The Council understands Trish’s desire for a different work life balance at this point in her career. That said, the Council also knows that Trish’s contributions to the founding of the Manitoba College of Paramedics have been critical to its realization. Her depth of experience, level of commitment to the work of the College, her strong leadership, and her unsurpassed work ethic will be sorely missed.
The Council has engaged The Summit Search Group to assist in the recruitment of a new Executive Director with the requisite skills of understanding of pre hospital care, coupled with administrative experience and knowledge of regulatory practices.
