Upcoming Registration Renewal for 2022

October 18, 2021

Most registrant’s certificate of practice expires March 31, 2022.  In order to affect a seamless entry into the new registration year, please take time to ensure you have all the requirements necessary for your certificate of practice to be renewed.   Registration renewal for the 2022-2023 registration year will begin in February 2022.  Please watch for informational emails in the coming weeks for more information.  The following will be required to complete your renewal:

  • Current Professional Liability Insurance  (PLI) – many of you will need to renew your PAM registration and PLI policies prior to January 1 (PAMs renewal window is October 15, 2021 to Dec 1, 2021).  If you have obtained your PLI from an alternate source, please check with your insurance company to ensure PLI is current.  UPLOAD your new Certificate of PLI prior to January 1, 2022 to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
  • Program for Continuing Competency – You must have completed 2 learning activities for each of your chosen learning goals prior to renewal, and have entered these into your registrant portal.
  • IF YOU WERE SELECTED TO SUBMIT BACKGROUND CHECKS – You must submit a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, a Child Abuse Registry Check, and an Adult Abuse Registry Check – all dated within the previous 6 months – with your renewal.  Failure to do so will result in a delayed renewal and potentially impact your ability to work as a paramedic until your certificate of practice is renewed.

Just a reminder that it is the registrant’s responsibility to ensure that all elements of the renewal process are submitted during the renewal period.
